She was drinking bud light Her hair was done up high Purple jacket on a bit too tight She looked so good in the lights She’s chewing on a camel light During long talks late at night Sweet kisses out of sight Underneath fall moonlight I can’t take my eyes off of her Maybe I should talk to her I remember sun dresses Snow cones and hay rides On cloudless nights when we first kissed I remember long walks Short breath and wide eyes The taste of your cigarettes, yeah When we started this When we started this City girl with a country heart Trouble looking to fall apart Like any good piece of art I can see her breaking my heart Messages sent so discrete It’s our secret if we’re willing to keep it Having her would be so sweet But I think I’ll have to admit defeat This will end before it starts If not she’ll tear me apart I remember sun dresses Snow cones and hay rides On cloudless nights when we first kissed I remember long walks Short breath and wide eyes The taste of your cigarettes, yeah When we started this When we started this Tomorrow she’ll be gone For now, for now we’ll carry on I remember sun dresses Snow cones and hay rides On cloudless nights when we first kissed I remember long walks Short breath and wide eyes The taste of your cigarettes, yeah When we started this When we started this I remember sun dresses Snow cones and hay rides On cloudless nights when we first kissed I remember long walks Short breath and wide eyes The taste of your cigarettes, yeah When we started this When we started this

Let This Go 04:11
There she is And there she goes Running on a ton of fear Driven by little more than pure instinct Nothing new To see here anymore She is like every one before Just another troubled little girl Once again I’m caught up on her line I seem to fall for it every time No escape from a smile like summertime Late at night With nobody around She kisses me on my cheek Makes me believe that I’m the only one I know, that I’m not But I don’t really mind This will do for now But soon I’ll want it all I’m watching her come And I’m watching her go She’s saying goodbye Just so that she can say hello I don’t know why I find it so hard to tell her no Maybe I Will be the one to let this go A few more times I talked to her at night
I had every good intention She had every devious idea About us And things we could have done What if I just caved right in What if I just gave it all up Hold on, please wait It’s not the best of times Slow down I really wanna get this right I’m watching her come And I’m watching her go She’s saying goodbye Just so that she can say hello I don’t know why I find it so hard to tell her no Maybe I Will be the one to let this go Maybe I should let this go My friends are saying let this go I’m going to let this go

Checking his phone He’s waiting on a message The phone is silent And his heart, well it’s breaking He turns it off He puts it down And walks away He won’t dwell on this anymore He’ll have his say when she hears his words Cut through the speakers by her bed He wrote her out of his head She comes and goes and then comes back Only to leave again She plays her silly games While he sits at home, he’s counting days He turns it off He puts it down And walks away He won’t dwell on this anymore He’ll have his say when she hears his words Cut through the speakers by her bed He wrote her out of his head She’s gonna do her thing He knows she’ll never stay He can’t compete with a guy a thousand miles away He turns it off He puts it down And walks away He won’t dwell on this anymore He’ll have his say when she hears his words Cut through the speakers by her bed He wrote her out of his head He wrote her out of his head

Just one more bee and then I’ll go Been here too long anyway Nothing’s helping this mood No one notices I need a friend I should have just stayed home One more beer and then I’ll go One more beer and then I’ll go My friend’s talking to me but I’m not listening It just seems there's too many thoughts And I can’t escape my own head I should have never let it start One more beer and then I’ll go Just one more beer and then I’ll go I’m as lonely as I was at home These shots bring no solace The booze can’t fill this growing hole I should never have ever kissed her One more beer and then I’ll go One more beer and then I’ll go And then I’ll go And then I’ll go

I can’t believe That it’s come to this Words on paper You’ll never see To clear my head Evict you from my thoughts But it has to start somewhere We move on with a small step And then we keep on walking So here I am I’m trying to forget that smile I want to erase it From my memory Where can I go That I don’t see you Your ghost is everywhere And we move on with a small step And then we keep on walking Yea we move on with a small step And then we keep on walking And do you remember Does it linger The ring that I took off your finger We move on with a small step And then we keep on walking Yea and we move on with a small step And then we keep on walking We keep on walking Away from you We keep on walking away Walking away from you Keep on walking Keep on walking away yeah We keep on walking

I may be lost And I may be found Well I’ll figure it out As I drive this car around. Life’s been better still Up here in these hills Well I can see the stars But that don’t get me very far. Are you even there Am I just lost It’s just me pleading to the sky Asking for any help to get me by And I’ll use any reason to justify These conversations I had on high Hey there lord it’s me Can I have I a seat Well I’ll conceded that I’m ready to admit defeat Life ain’t ever fair But you said you care Trying to figure out how I got myself right here. Are you even there Or am I just tired It’s just me pleading to the sky Asking for any help to get me by And I’ll use any reason to justify These conversations I had on high I keep talking But there’s no reply Dear Sir Well I’m dissatisfied I’m starting to think that I never should have tried. Well I ain’t dead At least not yet But this here’s another one I’d like to forget Are you even there Are you listening It’s just me pleading to the sky Asking for any help to get me by And I’ll use any reason to justify These conversations I had on high

about

Debut release from Koby, the guitarist for Xwansongs. As the title suggest, the songs all involve a girl.

After years of playing and writing with other musicians, Koby sets out to write and record his own musical creations. Channeling from his varied influences while trying to find a balance between catchy and introspective he weaves a narrative about falling for the wrong girl and the toll it can take on a lonely, yet goodhearted guy. At least that's the hope anyway.

This debut album from Koby features six tracks, ranging from the poppy opener “When We Started This,” to the more somber “One More Beer,” and rounded out with tracks like “We Keep on Walking.”
